 Shabbat is a special day at Shomrei Emunah Preschool. We gather together with Rabbi Shapiro in the sanctuary to hear about the torah and other important aspects of Jewish life. Afterwards, Morah Abbe leads a school-wide Shabbat Sing with the children and the Shabbat guests. Each class then goes to their rooms for a Shabbat celebration: candles, wine and challah. We stress the importance of giving tzedakah and doing mitzvot. The children get the true Shabbat feeling throughout the day.
We invite all families to join us as we hold the “Shabbat Experience Dinner”. This dinner occurs once a month. The evening begins with a Shabbat activity for the children, followed by a traditional family Shabbat dinner and a brief Friday night service led by Rabbi Shapiro.
